All students are asked to arrive for registration between 2.00 and 5.00 pm on the day the course begins. A light meal and an orientation talk will precede the start of the course. The 10-day courses end at approximately 7:30 am on the last day of the course. The 3-day courses end at 4 pm.
IMPORTANT – PLEASE:
Dhamma Sukhakāri is 2.5 miles (4 km) from Junction 49 of the A14 between Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds, about 100 miles to the north-east of London.
The centre postcode (IP14 3RQ) will get you to the centre with Google maps.
There is ample free parking at the centre.
There are no EV charging units at Dhamma Sukhakāri. The closest EV charging points can be found in Stowmarket (4–5 miles away). Please ensure that your vehicle is sufficiently charged before arriving at the centre.
The site is 4 miles from Stowmarket railway station and there are frequent direct train services to and from London, Norwich, Cambridge, Ipswich and Peterborough.
Direct trains from London Liverpool Street take approximately 90 minutes. Alternatively, take a train to Ipswich and change to the next available Stowmarket train.

Do not attempt to walk to the centre from Stowmarket or Haughley. The road is busy with no lighting or pavement/off-road walking area and traffic can be fast.
A taxi from the station takes about 10 minutes and costs about £10–£11.
It is best to pre-book a taxi to be sure of getting one. If you pre-book with Swift Taxi Cabs, they will group you with any other course participants arriving at the same time so you can travel to the centre together for a lower price.
If you have not pre-booked, you may be able to get a cab from the taxi office outside the main entrance to the station (not always available).

Stowmarket Cab Co.: 01449 677777 - Taxis may be available without booking from the office situated outside the main entrance to the station, though this is not always the case.

If, on arrival at Stowmarket station, you are having difficulty organising travel to the centre from Stowmarket station, please email [email protected] or call the centre on 01449 833080.
The most convenient airport for Dhamma Sukhakāri is London Stansted (STN), to which there are budget flights from a wide range of European destinations.
From London Stansted airport, take a direct train to Cambridge and change for a direct train to Stowmarket, or take a coach to Chelmsford and then a train to Stowmarket (journey time about 1 hour 40 minutes).
The car journey from London Stansted to the centre takes about 1 hour 10 minutes.
Norwich International (NWI): take the airport bus to the Park & Ride, from there take a bus to Norwich railway station and then a direct train to Stowmarket (journey time 1 hour 20 minutes)
London City (LCY): take the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) to Stratford International and change for National Rail from Stratford to Stowmarket (journey time about 1 hour 45 minutes)
Southend (SEN): take a bus or a train to Chelmsford (by train, change at Shenfield) and from there a train to Stowmarket (journey time about 2 hours 30 minutes)
Luton (LTN): take the airport shuttle to Luton Airport Parkway railway station, take a fast train to London St Pancras, take the London Underground (Circle and Metropolitan lines) to Liverpool Street station and then take a National Rail service to Stowmarket (journey time about 3 hours).
At the end of the course, you may be able to get a lift by car with other students.
You may also be able to share a local taxi to the station with other people. More information will be put up on the last day of the course, when you will be able to make arrangements, including booking a taxi.
